Fine Fibre for Authentic Reborn Details
SilcPro® Baby Fuzz™ is a premium ultra-fine fibre designed to create authentic newborn realism in reborn dolls. Applied sparingly, these delicate fibres help naturally matt the surface whilst recreating the subtle appearance of lanugo — the soft downy hair often visible on newborn babies.
What is Lanugo?
Lanugo is the fine, soft hair naturally present on many newborn babies, particularly around the face, ears, shoulders, and body. Capturing this subtle detail is one of the finishing touches that helps create truly lifelike newborn realism in reborn art.

Application
Apply sparingly over a thin layer of wet varnish, medium, or clear silicone using a soft dry brush or applicator.
The key to realistic results is subtle application. Strategic placement around the face, ears, shoulders, brow line, and body creates the delicate appearance of newborn skin texture and fine baby hair without appearing heavy or overdone.

Advanced finishing: skin texture
Baby Fuzz is a specialist finishing fibre used on vinyl reborn dolls to create subtle skin texture. It is not paint, mohair, rooting fibre, weighting material, body filling or a doll component.
It may support heat-set or air-dry workflows where technically appropriate. Include it in advanced finishing pathways, not beginner rooting bundles.

Silicone finishing note
Where Baby Fuzz is used in a technically compatible silicone workflow, apply it only with the appropriate clear silicone or finishing medium and test the combination first. It remains an advanced texture fibre, not silicone pigment or matting powder.

SilcPro® Baby Fuzz™ – Lanugo Fibres for Reborn Dolls
Heat Set : Apply a thin layer of thinning or matt/dewy medium to the area where you wish to apply the lanugo effect. Using a dry brush, pick up a few of the fibres and lightly tap into the desired area. Bake as per paint instructions.
Air Dry: Apply your chosen medium - matte or satin varnish to your chosen area. Using a dry brush and working quickly, lightly dab the lanugo fibre to the area you wish. Allow to dry. Fibres can be removed while the medium is still wet.
