Welcome to Mott & Gido’s Custom Reborn Commission Service, where your vision is carefully and professionally transformed into a one-of-a-kind reborn baby.
How It Works
Your reborn will be created by our in-house professional artist, with many years’ experience and prototype painting work for leading sculptors. Your commission is handled entirely in-house, with care, technical expertise, and respect for the art form.
From choosing your perfect kit to refining every detail, this service offers you the opportunity to own a reborn created exclusively for you.

Step 1: Choose Your Kit
The £550 base price covers a sleeping reborn doll kit with professionally painted hair.
(Glass eyes and hand-rooted mohair hair are optional extras at an additional cost.)

Step 2: Personalise Your Baby
Tell us how you’d like your reborn created:

Painted hair (included – approx. 8 weeks)

Eye colour: for awake dolls
Weight: up to 7lb (guidance provided)

Step 3: We Create Your Baby
Your reborn is brought to life with meticulous care and attention to detail.
You’ll receive weekly progress photographs by email, so you can follow each stage of the creation process.
Step 4: Welcome Your Baby Home
After approximately 8–12 weeks, your reborn will arrive beautifully presented and ready to welcome home, complete with:

Weight
Reborn dolls are a dead weight, unlike real babies who distribute weight naturally.
A 5–6lb reborn feels similar to a 7lb real baby.
While we can create dolls up to 7lb, heavier dolls can be uncomfortable for some people to hold for long periods. We are always happy to advise on the most suitable weight for you.
Magnetic Pacifiers
Magnetic pacifiers are available on request, however we do not recommend them. Regular use causes friction against the vinyl, which can lead to visible wear on the lips over time.

Custom Work Policy
This is a bespoke commission service. Each reborn is created uniquely to your specifications and cannot be resold. Work is carried out by our professional in-house artist(s), subject to availability.
Please read carefully:
✓ Full payment is required
(Payment options available via Klarna, Clearpay, PayPal, and all major credit cards)
✓ VAT is added to your reborn cost (this is paid directly to HMRC)
✓ This service is for 16–21" reborn kits only
✓ Lead time is 8–12 weeks from order confirmation
✓ Weekly progress photos are provided
✓ Outfits are selected by our artist to complement your baby
Custom Order & Cancellation Policy
All reborn commissions are bespoke, made-to-order items.
Once work has started and/or kits have been ordered, no refunds or cancellations are possible, in line with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (exemption for personalised goods).
After placing your order, we will contact you to confirm details and request permission to proceed.
You have 48 hours from the time of ordering to cancel before work begins.
If we do not receive confirmation within 48 hours, your order will be automatically cancelled and fully refunded.
No work will begin without written confirmation from you.
A Final Note
All photographs shown are of our artist’s own work and represent the standard you can expect. As each reborn is individually created, natural variations will occur, and techniques may be adapted to suit each specific kit — this is the nature of true, handcrafted art.
