SilcPro® Weighting Materials — Choose the Right Fill for Your Project
Create beautifully balanced reborn dolls and teddy bears using our carefully selected range of professional weighting materials. Each material offers its own handling characteristics, allowing artists to achieve the desired balance, feel, and realism in finished creations.
 
Microfine Glass Beads
A traditional, ultra-fine bead ideal for weighting vinyl doll limbs. Simply fill limbs to the first joint and backfill with fibre to create a natural and evenly distributed weight.
Please note: Due to their very fine consistency, these beads are not recommended for loose use inside the head or body cavity. For head and body weighting, stainless steel granules or ball bearings are recommended.
 
Glass Granules (Ultra-Fine)
A fine glass-based weighting material designed for smooth distribution within vinyl limbs. While similar in appearance to sand, these granules are manufactured from glass to ensure consistent particle size and performance.
Please note: We do not recommend this material for loose use inside the head or body cavity.
 
Recycled Stainless Steel Weighting 
An environmentally conscious option produced from recycled stainless steel discs. This material provides substantial, stable weight and is best used inside a fabric bag or stocking placed within the body or head cavity.
Important: Not suitable for direct limb filling. Always contain within a sock or fine-weave fabric bag before use.
 
Stainless Steel Ball Bearings
Ideal when a heavier feel is required, particularly in smaller dolls or teddy bears. For best results, place the ball bearings inside a stocking or fabric bag before positioning within the head or body cavity.
