How Heat Set Painting Works

Heat set paints are designed to be applied in very thin layers, gradually building up realistic colour and depth.

Each layer is baked at approximately 130°C for around 10 minutes in the halogen oven to fully cure before applying the next layer.

Working slowly and keeping layers thin allows artists to achieve the beautifully soft, lifelike skin tones that make reborn dolls so special.

Why Artists Love Heat Set Paints

• Excellent control for realistic skin tones
• Highly durable once cured
• Perfect for layering techniques such as veining, mottling and blushing

Ideal For

• Artists starting their first reborn project
• Anyone wanting to move into heat set painting
• Beginners who want a complete, ready-to-go setup
