top of page

Irresistables Heat Set Paint (IRHSP) Thinning Medium – Sealer is a brand new formula that is odorless and non-solvent based used to thin the paint without loss of color depth. In addition, it can be used as a sealer for any area you are going to root to avoid any white spots appearing due to the needle puncturing the vinyl.

When using this product throughout the painting process, each time you use it you are ultimately sealing that layer. (This is not to be confused with IRHSP Matte. Matte is a varnish, not a thinner or a sealer.)

Irresistables Heat Set Thinning Medium will not water down the paint, it will just make it easier to use and more efficient when spreading it onto the surface.

Do NOT exceed 2 parts medium to 3 parts paint or the paint might become too transparent.

can mix this product with any of our other IRHSP mediums to achieve the exact texture of the final product you wish to apply. This product is compatible with any heat set paint products..

What is IRHSP Thinning Medium used for?

Thinning medium makes paint flow which makes it easier to work with but it may also make the color more transparent. IRHSP thinning medium can be used right out of the jar. You can also add a mineral spirit or a solvent if you choose to do so.

DIRECTIONS: Stir well and mix some IRHSP thinning medium into the paint or medium to make it more fluid. Heat your oven to 265F/130C and bake for 10-15 minutes. After heat setting the paint, let it cool before applying the next layer.  Do NOT exceed 2 parts thinning medium to 3 parts paint or the paint might become too transparent.
